Oh my….. I got the job!!! I still cant’ believe it. They phoned me at lunchtime and told me. It’s all subject to references and a health check etc, but, well, the job’s mine!! OMG. CHANGE! I’ve been full of cold (and still am), so am feeling lousy at the moment. But life is going on. I’ve managed to get into work every day, I’ve joined a band (I’m the rhythm guitarist) and I have an interview for another job… Apart from that, it’s [...] And I forgot.. I’ve been testing out new applications on my phone. One that I REALLY like has to be Opera Mini. It is so much faster than the N90′s in-build browser. You can also create shortcuts accessed through the keypad, organize shortcuts in folders and all the usual stuff you expect from an [...] That last post was a little nerve-wracking to write. Becuase it was so, well.. ‘open’. I suppose it shows more about how I feel and how I think than a lot of posts here. But I’m glad I wrote it. And now I move on. This weekend has been pretty uneventful really. I’m [...] Aye, well.. It’s the weekend. Technically, anyway. I’ve just had two days off, so I’ve had my weekend. I’m on a training course this weekend for some voluntary work, so in order to preserve my sanity I decided to use up my last two days of annual leave on Thursday and Friday. Queen of procrastination as I am, I’m still avoiding my ironing. Last night, I hoovered, tidied the living room, did [...] I went to watch the Hastings Half Marathon today. I walked to just near the finish line and waited, and watched. I saw a man in a chicken suit, a man with a pushchair, people running with their dogs, and a woman running with her little daughter. I waited there hours, but missed [...] It’s official. Southerners (particularly London commuters) are the most ANNOYING and awful people in the world!! Well. Ok. Not really. Just a couple of them. But it felt good to say it. Last night, on the news, they were talking about the Council Tax rises down here. And the leader of Kent County Council [...] So. Long time no write, it seems. I haven’t been eaten by Henry. Though he *has* been evicted from the bathroom. (one cup of washing soda crystals followed by a full kettle of boiling water down the plughole, in case you were w0ndering). But now I can smell him in the living room. The inevitable cross over between when my hosting bill is due, when I get paid, and the fact that they don’t accept my debit card. So, today. And yesterday. Well, I’m still here.
