It has been a strange weekend. It started off quite well. I went to the Albert Hall to see Tim Minchin in concert. We got the tickets for a bargain price and his show was excellent. We didn’t get back until well after midnight, which is rare in our lives, so it felt like [...]   OMG! I have an interview!! One of the jobs I applied for and hadn’t heard anything. The interviews were supposed to be today, so I thought that I hadn’t been selected. I got an email today inviting me for interview next week. Bonus! In other news, work is still, well, hard work. There just [...] Is it better to stay where you are, with what you know and work at something that’s not quite right, but not awful either. Or, to try something new. To go somewhere you will get close to a dream, but which could see everything crumble if it doesn’t work out? I’m torn. K and [...] I went back to work today, and I was a grumpy bugger all day! I went in late coz, what the hell – I have no manager at the moment and over 10 hours in the flexi bank. I lay in my bed last night trying to get to sleep, but just getting more [...] I didn’t get the job. He SAID it was really close. He SAID I interviewed well.(They ALWAYS say that) But that the other person had more ‘contacts’ in the area, so that’s why she got it. (go figure). She wasn’t very subtle about it. She got the phone call and rushed out with the [...] I have started my Christmas shopping. I have had a lie in. I have eaten chocolate and crisps. I have watched t.v. I have looked through old photographs and I have started next week’s menu before we go shopping. I’m running away from preparing my presentation. For my interview next Wednesday (for my boss’s [...] I know, I know.. Long time no update again! Well, I’m back at work full time now and have been for a couple of weeks, so when I get home I just don’t want to switch on the computer. And I daren’t blog from work any more as I’m sure I’ll get found out. [...] I’ve had such a rubbish day today, it’s unreal. The number of mistakes I made. Unreal. Firstly, I got an email from my boss about some work I did last night. I didn’t get a ‘telling off’ as such, just a reminder that I’d done a couple of things wrong. Then I had to [...] Well, I’m feeling much better today I managed to get to work early on Tuesday, and work went ok. Actually, I’m enjoying work at the moment. It’s varied, and it’s interesting. Yesterday I had some admin and paperwork to do, then some meetings to arrange. And today I was on a training day for [...] Well, I had an interesting weekend. I had to go to Kent to observe some training on Saturday, so I stayed with a friend on Friday night. After training, I was persuaded to go to London for a drink. To LONDON!
