A Sunken ship next to a Churchill Barrier on Orkney Well, dear readers.. I’m back. I survived (just) and have lived to tell the tale! Between us, me and K drove over 1600 miles last week. Firstly to my mum’s house, then up to John O Groats, then back to my mum’s, then [...]   Well, as it’s the 30th of April today, and May starts tomorrow, I thought I should update on how I’ve done with my April targets… 1. To go swimming 3 times. Well, I did not manage to go swimming once. So I didn’t achieve that one! 2. To go out socially at least once. [...] Hello once again, dear readers.. Well, work has been absolutely manic over the last few weeks. It’s that ‘end of financial year’ panic and ‘will I have a job past June’ situation. So at the moment, I’m writing reports and statistics and applying for money left right and centre to keep the project going. [...] I know, I know.. I haven’t written for aaaaaaaaaaages.. I’ve just been ‘doing things’. Wierd. Doing things – and not watching tv! I went to Slough over the weekend. I went to a leisure pool, went down the slides and played in the wave machine. (and got there for 9am – on a SUNDAY!!). [...] K’s fantastic photo of the sunset from Brighton Pier last weekend Well… What another fine weekend I’ve had I’m still high on life and enjoying everything much more.. (apart from the interruption of having to go to work…) So, on Thursday, K was supposed to be at a course that didn’t finish until [...] Blog people – I’m in a VERY good mood today And not about what you might be thinking it’s about So, firstly, I’ll start with last night… Ziggy (the one I classed as a ’2nd date’ in order to meet my ‘have one date’ target this month) came round to mine as we were [...] Well hello world! I made it back from London in one piece The course was good, if a little heavy and complicated, but it should all be useful, so it’s worth it. I didn’t actually do anything interesting while in London.. (apart from get the wrong tube a couple of times – how was [...] Woo hoo! I’m back! My domain name expired, and the company didn’t send me any reminders, so the site was down for a few days. But I’m back now! Should be (hopefully) no more down time until my hosting runs out in 6 months now. Well.. apart from all my valentines cards getting lost [...] Well, life is rolling on and I’m in a good mood at the moment. I was in a bit of a ‘funk’ over the weekend – tired and lethargic, but I made it into work early this morning so I’m happy! Woo hoo! I was productive too.. All those little things that I kept [...] Well, I made it to London! And I made it back! Woo hoo! I was really panicking and getting nervous the night before I went, but it all went ok, so I’m glad.. I overslept on Thursday, but still should have been able to get there on time. Only there were no trains on [...] |
